The band attended the annual Own Choice Contest, on 27th February 2010. The event hosted in the Island Civic Centre in Lisburn, was very well supported.

Having played well the band finished in second place in Grade 2 next to Ballymena Young Conquerors, who won the section, taking all prizes. Cahard finished third.
