The Band attended Burntollet Sons of Ulster's Annual Parade on Wednesday 12th August 2009. This year marks the bands 30th Anniversary. It was therefore even more important that the band attend to show our support.
The Parade kicked off at 20:30 with the William King Memorial Flute Band leading. We were second of the bands away. Having almost not been able to march due to lack of numbers we went ahead anyway. Thanks to the ever talented Gordon '2forty' for switching his drum for a flute to make up a more balanced band. As always our optimism paid off. With a slightly under strength band we done relatively well, and were well received by both the host band and those spectating.
A very big congratulations to Burntollet on their 30th Anniversary, and a huge well done for such a great parade, attracting 25 bands along with themselves making up 26. A very good night had in Claudy.
