Churchill Flute Band

Apprentice Boys Exhibition, The Spectrum Centre, Shankill Road

The Band attended the opening of an Exhibiton on the history and background of the Apprentice Boys Of Derry on Saturday 6th June 2009. Playing a wide selection of marches and concert items whilst people visited the exhibition. We were well received by the welcoming people of the Shankill, and a great thanks must go to them for their hospitality shown towards the band. Especially the Apprentice Boys from the Shankill involved in running this event together with help from the General Committee and Parent Clubs.

The Shankill is a place where the band enjoy visiting annually following the end of the ABOD Remembrance Parade every November. We were very happy to be back with another opportunity to perform. It was a great day in Belfast for the band finishing with a night of entertainment in the Pony Club.
