The Band had the pleasure of taking part in a weekend of events held by the Apprentice Boys of Derry on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th April. The first event was the highly anticipated opening of the new ABOD museum in the Memorial Hall, Londonderry.
On a lovely Friday afternoon the band played at the opening of the museum. Those in attendance were the Governor of the Apprentice Boys and the Dean of St.Columbs Cathedral. It is always a pleasure to take part in any historical event in the city of Londonderry.
On Saturday evening the band lead a very distinguished parade around the city of Londonderry to the historic St. Columb's Cathedral to the opening and dedication of the Siege Heros Mound. The band then played in the open air service to much acclaim. The parade the made its way back to the Memorial Hall for some light refreshments.
