Churchill Flute Band

ABOD Remembrance Parade

On Saturday 10th November the Churchill Flute band will be leading the now annual Apprentice Boys of Derry Remembrance Parade in Belfast, to remember the supreme sacrifice that past generations made in two horrific world wars and conflicts since. This is one of the most important parades in our eventful calendar.

The day will start with the CFB leading the General Committee and Belfast Walker Club down the Ormeau Road. The parade will then reconvene at UTV’s Havlock House where the rest of the parade will join in. The main parade will then make its way through the streets of Belfast to City Hall. At the Cenotaph the ABOD led by the CFB will hold a dignified and poignant service of remembrance. The Apprentice Boys Governor and Lieutenant Governor will then lay a wreath.

Following the service, the parade will then make its way once again through the streets of Belfast to the Shankill Road, pausing shortly to lay a wreath in the garden of remembrance on the Shankill Road before finishing at West Belfast Orange Hall where refreshments will be served.
